BACKGROUND
UNITE STRUCTURAL Engineering Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd was founded by Eng. (Dr) Udaya Dissanayake in 1997, mainly by undertaking Structural Design work around Kandy, Sri Lanka. With time the consultancy practice expanded in terms of both human resources and technical capabilities and started undertaking more complex and challenging structural designs, investigations.
During the last 25 years we have done structural designs of more than 1700 units of buildings including high rise residential and commercial buildings, housing schemes, commercial blocks, factory buildings, schools, hospitals and numerous residential houses. We also undertook the design of nearly 1500 communication tower foundations of green field and roof top, during the period of 2008 to present. At that time, we operated as U & D Engineering Consultants (Pvt) Ltd.
Our main strength is our highly capable team of engineers and drafting persons. Most of them have been working with us for more than 10 years and during this period they have developed very strong work ethics. We were able to expand our area of expertise to more challenging areas such as;
- Design of telecom tower foundations
- Design check and remaining life time estimation of bridges.
- Peer review of high-rise buildings for earthquake and wind
- Performance testing of existing bridges and buildings.
- Design of underground wastewater treatment structures.
However, with the versatility of our technical team we can also undertake the following general civil Engineering related work such as;
- Preparation of AutoCAD drawings
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities and estimates
